Keying

I have been keying out some of the green screen footage to help Dave Bentick out with the workload. Many panels were straightforward and only took 5 minutes to clip out the shadows but some were quite messy with mid grey shadows crossing the backdrop and figures so a lot of masking/rotoscoping was necessary to clean up the video.

I used a pink solid behind the alpha so that when Dave goes through checking the footage he can delete/alter colour to keep tabs on progress. I was really pleased with my efforts on this, considering it was my first attempt at anything involving live footage I think I've been quite successful. I'm also pleased to have been able to help with the actual film (along with the photograph textures) as well as the design of the other elements and it is something new and interesting to put in my cv.

Design Document

I finished the design document yesterday, I was pleased with how that turned out despite it being put together in such a short time frame. Hopefully it will be useful to the people working on the project remotely.
